Driveways can be the most difficult to thoroughly clean due to it having the most footfall and cars on it than any other domestic or commercial surface. With tarmacadam, you have to be careful not to spray too harshly. You could end up scarring the tarmac, or worse yet open up cracks and end up taking chunks out of the top layer. Prevention is better than a cure, so make sure that you are careful not to put too much pressure when washing tarmac.

Concrete is also just as tricky to power wash, even more so than tarmac. If it isn’t adequately power washed you can tell very easily as streak marks show up well in concrete. That, and without proper experience you can end up chipping and creating cracks in the surface in which the likes of moss and dirt will flourish.

Lastly we have cobblelock. Cobblelock has a nasty habit of having moss and weeds grow between the cracks of the bricks. When cleaning cobblelock, you’ll also have to more than likely resand it as well to give it a finished look. The bricks can however be replaced should there be a need for maintenance beyond power washing.
